Extended Phase 1 habitat surveys, also known as Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (PEAs), are often required as part of a planning application.

A PEA identifies the ecological features at the development location in order to assess the potential ecological impact from the proposed project.

This appraisal will also inform on whether any further surveys are required.

We follow all latest best practice guidelines and industry standards in developing our PEAs.

We can conduct this type of assessment at any time of year, however further detailed surveys may need to be undertaken during specific periods.
